- Writing sentences about a topic.

- Focus on capitalization (proper names , days and months ) and correct punctuation marks.

- Telling and asking sentences.

March 25th-Snow Make up Day

March 26th -No School (Teacher Workday)

Reminders:

* Please continue helping your child with his/her spelling words.

*Encourage him/her to write 3-4 sentences about a topic.

*Focus on writing on the lines , capitalization and punctuation marks.

*Please send your child's homework every Friday. Make sure you follow the homework calendar.

March 9-12 : Scholastic Book Fair

Reminders:

* If you have not done so, please turn in your child’s gown measurement and payment not later than Tuesday , March 9, 2010.

* We need to order them as soon as possible.

* It is very important that you and your child read the book/s in his/her Guided Reading bag. Ask comprehension questions about the book.

* Continue reading the 3rd word list and if you feel that your child is ready for the 4th list, you may want to let him/her read it.

* Our class will visit the Book Fair on March 9th 12:00-12:30 pm.
